How to improve collaboration
Make telephone contact with the translator and clarify deadlines, cost and any other matters (e.g. storage formats or storage media).
Do not send any documents by e-mail until you have reached an agreement with the translator.
Whenever possible, all documents to be translated should be sent electronically (via e-mail, or diskette). This saves you having to re-format.
If available, please enclose any relevant documentation (texts already translated, glossaries, background information) or send them to the translator by post.
Give the names and telephone numbers of people who can be contacted to provide specialised terminology or information.
Many thanks.
